Roofline

The roofline is a key part of your home's weatherproof protection.  It is the area between the roof and the walls and houses a number of key features.  That's why ensuring it remains in top condition is just as important as ensuring that your roof materials are strong and solid.

There are several elements to the roofline, most of which are present on every house.  They include the facia boards, soffits, bargeboards and is where the guttering is found.  The fascia boards support the guttering and allow it to connect to the downpipes that carry water from the roof, down into the drains and away from the home.

The soffits are the parts you can see from the ground when you look up.  These connect the edge of the roof to the walls, cover the roof beams that are inside the house and are often where ventilation is for the loft space.

Other elements depend on the layout of your roof.  For an end-terrace or semi-detached house, there will be some areas such as bargeboards.  A detached house will have more as both sides will have finishing elements.

Flashing around vents and chimneys is something included with roofline elements as can be the ridge tiles at the top of the roof.  But whatever the need you have for upgrading or replacing roofline elements, we are here to help.
